Hobo Radio Interview – Fishbowl directors Stephen Kinigopoulos and Alexa Kinigopoulos

From David and Jerry Zucker to Lana and Lilly Wachowski to Joel and Ethan Cohen, Hollywood has had a long and storied tradition of talented sibling directing teams.

Following in that tradition are Stephen and Alexa Kinigopoulos, two Maryland filmmakers whose film Fishbowl looks at teenage life in a small town. Set in the fictional Bishop, Maryland, the film tells the story of three sisters navigating life without their mother and with a father who has becoming increasingly obsessed with the apocalypse.

This week, we talk to the duo about Fishbowl, their favorite films of all time and their mentor George Pelecanos.

The Snallygaster is a Maryland based cryptid whose description is so bizarre that is almost sounds like some kind of Lovecraftian horror. Half eagle, half reptile with razor sharp teeth so hard and dark they look like steel. It has wings to small for its body but yet it flies. It has one large eye in the middle of its forehead like some kind of reptile cyclops. it also has tentacles coming out of its mouth like it has a large octopus as a tongue. Beware the Snallygaster, especially if you are a drinker. We have heard it has a fondness for moonshine.
