When honor is at stake the only thing worth laying on the line is your life. As a ancestor of Chivalry and Trial by Combat, dueling often seems like a brutal and cruel activity. Dueling conjures up visions of wild west shootouts at high noon as well as Samurai in kimonos eyeing each other, hands ready at the sword hilt. Duels generally were held only between aristocracy, at a designated date and time with a predetermined weapon. This set of criteria differentiates dueling from the common street fight. So strap in to your harness, grab a chainsaw and remember “Two men enter, one man leaves!”.
