Hobo Radio 451 – We’re doing two ands now?

Joel Murphy has a few petty gripes with the entertainment industry this week. One is the use of two “ands” when listing actors in a new film and the other is Marvel’s aversion to using the actual names of superheroes and groups in their television shows.

Murphy and Lars Periwinkle also pay tribute to Batman: The Animated Series, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this week, talk about diversity casting in superhero films and share Donald Trump’s bizarre demand of any movie filming in one of his properties.

What’s with all of the ands? Why is Iron Fist white? Can we start a book club like Oprah? The answers to these questions and more are on this week’s show.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “Joel Osteen” – word and music by Dolly Parton; parody lyrics by Roy Zimmerman and Melanie Harby
