Hobo Radio 492 – People died in the 80s

Subscribe:

This week, Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle talk about ghosts. They discuss people’s believe in spectral beings, their own ideas about the afterlife and they wonder why ghosts always seem to be from the Victorian era.

They also discuss the confusing plot of the Michael Jackson “Thriller” video, Banksy’s latest stunt, Chili’s obnoxious jingle and the little certificate the NFL gave to Drew Brees.

How come there ain’t no 80s ghosts? Can James Gunn fix the DC Cinematic Universe? Is Lars Banksy? The answers to these questions and more are on this week’s show.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “You Said It” by Beverly

Hobo Radio 394 – Ts and Ds

Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle are joined once again by Molly Regan (Joel’s fiancee and the voice you can often hear laughing in the background during shows).

The three of them broadcast live from inside a (supposedly) haunted house. They talk about ghost hunting shows, real scientists who are attempting to create zombies and, for some reason, quite a bit about Lars’ butt.

Why does Ted Cruz love soup so much? Who will Donald Trump name as his running mate? Is “dupa” the most fun word on the planet? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “First of May” by Jonathan Coulton

Can Lars stop Dave and Kelly’s wedding? What surprising DVD is in Kelly’s collection? How would you rank the Ghostbusters in order of dreaminess? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Back to Me” by Tahuna Breaks

Hobo Radio 261 – Now with theme music

This week, Joel Murphy and Lars unveil a new game, one that comes complete with its own theme music. Well, it sort of has its own theme music. In truth, it’s just Murphy humming a few bars to a song he made up on the spot, but its a low budget show, so they are working with what they’ve got. Still, regardless of the theme music, the “Netflix Game” is a fun new concept that you can play along with at home.

In addition to their gaming shenanigans, the dynamic duo also discuss Man of Steel, fireworks and people who claim to have seen ghosts.

What is the Netflix game? Why doesn’t anyone in DC own guns? The answers to these questions and more are in this week’s podcast.

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “Funhouse” by She Said Fire
