Silver Linings Playback 23 – Van Helsing

Joel Murphy and Andy McIntyre continue their quest to watch maligned movies in hopes of finding a silver lining. For the month of October, they are watching horror films.

This week, they tackle Van Helsing, the 2004 Hugh Jackman film about the infamous titular vampire hunter. The film is a tribute to the Universal monster films of the 1930s and 40s, but critics were underwhelmed by it. Together, they’ll find its silver lining.

Theme Song: “Bankin’” by Bronson Scott
