Silver Linings Playback 11 – Thor: The Dark World

Joel Murphy and Andy McIntyre are continuing their quest to watch maligned movies in hopes of finding a silver lining.

For the month of July, they are watching superhero movies.

When you think maligned superhero movies, you don’t tend to think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has become the gold standard for the genre. However, as much as it now seems like the MCU can’t miss, the early days were a bit more rocky. Perhaps the rockiest film of all is Thor: The Dark World, the lackluster Phase 2 sequel to Thor.

Why would anyone choose regular fries over curly fries? Did Endgame live up to the hype? Was the resolution of the film a happy ending? The answers to these questions and more are on this week’s show.
