Will Hollywood take some chances and reward people they’d normally overlook? Probably not. This week, Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle share their thoughts on the 92nd annual Academy Awards, which were held this past Sunday. After voicing their disappointment over underwhelming slate of nominees on a recent show (including snubs for things like The Farewell, Knives Out, Midsommar, female directors in general and all of the actors in Parasite), they were pleasantly surprised to discover the Academy was shamed into actually picking the best nominees this year. Joel also shares his thoughts on all nine Best Picture nominees, which he and Molly recently finished watching.
