Joel Murphy and Andy McIntyre watch maligned movies and find their silver linings. For the month of March, they are watching failed Oscar bait.
At last night’s Oscar ceremony, there was a 50-year tribute to The Godfather. Both that film and its sequel, Godfather Part II, won multiple Academy Awards, including Best Picture. However, Godfather Part III was not so lauded. Joel and Andy close out March by watching it.
Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle discuss the Oscars’ controversial decision to not air several categories live, answer a voicemail question about their favorite candies and reveal who would voice their penises if they had a scene like the one in Pam and Tommy where Jason Mantzoukas voices Tommy Lee’s.
This week’s music:
Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
End – “It’s All Coming Back to Me” by Ellen Marlow

Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle are joined once again by Molly Regan to share their thoughts on every major category in the 93rd annual Academy Awards ceremony (including all of the ones they definitely aren’t qualified to discuss, like cinematography).

Will Hollywood take some chances and reward people they’d normally overlook? Probably not. But you’re going to watch anyway, so you might as well hype yourself up by listening to this extra-long episode.
