Experts of Disney!

When you wish upon a star, nothing usually happens. They are gaseous entities that expel light and energy, but not wishes. But this isn't a space episode! This is our journey through the Magic Kingdoms of the many fine creations of the Walt Disney company! Content warning: as told through the eyes of our jaded and possibly drunk experts, so not for the little ones. Let them keep their childhood a few more years. Our guests featured this episode are Matthew Casella, Sarah Gorman, Jim Meyer, Molly Regan, Vangie Ridgaway, and Meghan Moran!

Hobo Radio 438 – Bill Finger

Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle discuss the new Hulu documentary Batman & Bill, which focuses on Bill Finger, the writer who co-created Batman with Bob Kane. Finger never received credit in his lifetime for his contributions to the iconic character. The film follows writer Marc Tyler Nobleman on his quest to get Bill Finger the credit he deserves.

They also discuss the late, great Powers Boothe, Lars’ new endorsement deal and Joel’s bizarre complaint about a recent episode of Better Call Saul.

What are the most obscure Star Wars facts that Lars knows? Why does Joel know so much about the history of Diet Dr. Pepper logos? The answers to these questions and more are on this week’s show.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “waxing waning” by Ketsa
