Experts of the ACLU!

The weekend of the inauguration, we took part in the What A Joke comedy festival with a special ACLU themed show. Contestants this time are Franqi French, Dan Marse-Kapr, Mark Miller, and Bunny Themelis. Not a contestant was an annoying heckler, so we got him booted. Free speech is a right, but so are rebuttals.

Hobo Radio 427 – Script doctoring Shimmer and Shine

To help an orangutan in the Netherlands find a mate, researchers have created a Tinder-like database of potential mates for her to scroll through. Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle discuss this “Tinder for oranutans” on this week’s show.

They also do some script doctoring on the Nickelodeon show Shimmer and Shine, discuss two big Doctor Who stories and get absolved of their white guilt by Milly Tamerez.

Why are there so many plotholes in Shimmer and Shine? What is John Hurt’s most memorable role? What’s in a name(‘s pronunciation)? The answers to these questions and more are on this week’s show.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “Hit Em Low” by Jack Bibly
