Our annual Mabel Memorial Hobo Madness Tournament is back. This year’s tournament pits characters from 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Better Call Saul, Community, Frasier, Girls, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Parks and Recreation against each other to see who would survive the longest during a global pandemic.

Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle are once again joined by Molly Regan, Marty McGuire, Andy McIntyre and Julia Periwinkle. Niles Crane takes on John Lutz in our final showdown. But there’s one last twist that will change everything.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “Fighting A Mountain” by Handmade Moments

COVID-19 has disrupted all of our lives. Movies have been delayed. Toilet paper can’t be found. And all major sporting events have been cancelled. But not even the Coronoavirus can stop our annual Mabel Memorial Hobo Madness Tournament.

This year, Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle are joined by Molly Regan, Marty McGuire, Andy McIntyre and, for the first time ever, Julia Periwinkle (Lars’ wife). This year’s tournament pits characters from 30 Rock, Arrested Development, Better Call Saul, Community, Frasier, Girls, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Parks and Recreation against each other to see who would survive the longest during a global pandemic.

This week, they decide the Elite 8 round of the tournament (and get to the bottom of whether or not chips and cheese dip count as nachos).

Celebrities are used to being the center of attention. Their wardrobes, daily routines and random musings become fodder for paparazzi. But with a global pandemic shifting priorities and everyone quarantined at home, people seem less interested in celebrities these days, which has caused them to seek attention in bizarre ways.

Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle discuss Gal Gadot’s “Imagine” video, Ellen comparing her mansion to prison and all of the other ways celebrities are desperate for attention in these trying times. They also talk about Quibi’s lackluster launch and the closing of UCB New York.

This week’s music:

  • Intro – “Giddy Up” by Tahuna Breaks
  • End – “Eight Nine (Won’t You Be Mine?)” by Ava Luna
