This week, Joel Murphy is joined by filmmaker and frequent HoboTrashcan contributor Tony Marion, who discusses his new film Loose Ends, which will be screening publicly for the first time at BC Brewery in Maryland on February 23.

They talk about the process of making the film, how the first day on set almost broke him and the stress dreams Tony has been having leading up to the film’s release.

This week, Joel Murphy and Lars Periwinkle share their thoughts on the 92nd annual Academy Awards, which were held this past Sunday. After voicing their disappointment over underwhelming slate of nominees on a recent show (including snubs for things like The Farewell, Knives Out, Midsommar, female directors in general and all of the actors in Parasite), they were pleasantly surprised to discover the Academy was shamed into actually picking the best nominees this year. Joel also shares his thoughts on all nine Best Picture nominees, which he and Molly recently finished watching.

130-Magic Items?

We have been playing some D&D recently and it sparked an idea to talk about some real world magic items. After having this discussion we realized that almost all of these recipes require dead body parts. Not the easiest thing to gather. So maybe we will just leave these magic items to history and the museums they can been viewed.
